A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Basildon.
The crash happened at the junction of Gordon Road and Timberlog Lane last night at 5.51pm.

A number of residents took to Facebook to post about the crash.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokeman said: “We were called at 5.51pm last night with reports that a man had been hit by a car on the junction of Gordon Road and Timberlog Lane in Basildon.

"An ambulance was sent to the scene and transported the man to Basildon Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
