"Armed police" were spotted in a Laindon street with residents describing it as "scary."
The officers were in Aston Road, Laindon near the Laindon Community Centre at about 2pm today.
Videos show armed officers with unmarked police cars and a man getting out of a silver car.
Police say two men were arrested in connection with an investigation into drug supply.

One resident said: "I heard a commotion outside my house and looked out and saw they had guns and I thought this must be serious.
"They searched the car and must of found something because two people were both taken away in the police cars. I think there was two men involved.

"There were armed police with guns and lasers. It was scary like out of a movie scene."
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Officers arrested two men, outside Laindon Community Centre this morning in relation to an investigation into drug supply. The men remain in custody."
