EXCITEMENT as Southend’s popular seafront open top bus is to return again this year.
Visit Southend has confirmed EnsignBusCo’s open top bus is returning to Southend seafront this April.
It will run from Saturday, April 1, until Sunday, April 16, as a daily service.
This is a hugely popular seaside service which provides a “new perspective of Southend seafront”.
The services travels from Southend Pier to Leigh as part of a tour of the city.
The open top bus service, known as number 68, has proved a big hit over the past few years which has seen hundreds of people enjoy rides on vintage and classic buses.
This month, the family running EnsignBus had stepped down after 50 years.
It was sold to the First Bus Group, who at the time said it will still be “business as usual”.
More to follow.
