A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary in connection with an ongoing investigation in Hockley. 

Essex Police was first called to an address on Broad Walk in Hockley on August 29, 2022. 

This followed reports of a residential burglary.

The property was broken into with the car keys stolen before the victim's BMW was then taken from the driveway. 

Police say enquiries have been ongoing since, and last night officers arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the incident. 

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A man has been arrested in London, in connection with an ongoing investigation into a burglary in Hockley last year.

"Essex Police officers were called to an address on Broad Walk in Hockley on August 29, 2022 following reports of a residential burglary.

"The property was broken in to and the car keys were stolen before the victim’s BMW was stolen from the driveway.

"Enquiries have been ongoing since the burglary, and last night officers from our operational support group arrested a 19-year-old man from Whitechapel on suspicion of burglary dwelling.

"He remains in custody."
