Two teenagers were robbed and attacked by an armed gang in Leigh.

The victims were approached by the gang who were wearing balaclavas and were armed with a knife in Leigh Library Gardens in Broadway West shortly after 6pm on Monday.

 The men threatened one of the boys with a knife and assaulted the two victims before stealing bags and hats. 

Police say it's believed that there were a number of members of the public in the gardens at the time.

Officers are are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this robbery to contact us and assist with this investigation.
