A CAFE destroyed by a fire is set to emerge from the ashes and re-open its doors to welcome back customers.

Wakey Wakey Cafe, in London Road, Leigh, was totally gutted by the blaze in February last year which also destroyed the flat above the business.

“I hope to start unpacking boxes and cleaning up this weekend.”

The café owner started the business from scratch in 2013 and built up its reputation in the area.

Justyna previously recalled how she was left in tears after being told about the level of damage to her beloved business.

She added: “I am excited to see it looking beautiful once again and are pushing to reopen it quickly.

“I expected it to be about six or seven months.
