A DRIVER has suffered serious injuries after his car was snatched in a robbery in Hadleigh, police said tonight.
The victim was driving when he was approached by four people outside Fattys Bar, in High Street, Hadleigh.
The driver and his passengers were attacked before some of the suspects drove away in their car, a white Nissan Juke.
Further suspects left the High Street in another vehicle.
The incident happened shortly after 5pm today.
Officers investigating the incident, which has seen the victim sustain serious injuries, have launched an appeal for witnesses following the dreadful incident.
Anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Essex Police.
Fattys Bar is located near the Morrisons supermarket and Hadleigh Library.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery whereby a vehicle was stolen and the victim was assaulted in Hadleigh this evening.
“Officers were called to Hadleigh High Street, outside Fattys Bar, at around 5.20pm following reports of a person that had been seriously injured following a robbery of his vehicle.
“The victim was driving when he and his occupants were approached by four people who assaulted them before stealing their white Nissan Juke.
“Some of the suspects then left the scene in what is believed to be a blue Ford Focus.
“The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.”
They continued: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist with the investigation to get in contact.”
