A man who was caught at Pitsea Market selling counterfeit Louis Vuitton items has been handed a fine.

Hamidullah Amiri, of Fentiman Way, Wembley, sold a fake Louis Vuitton handbag, purse and belt at Pitsea Market on three seperate occassions, Basildon Magistrates' Court was told.

The handbag was sold on November 13, the purse was sold on November 27 and the belt was sold on December 11.

Over a month, from November 12 and December 12, the court heard Amiri had for sale items which bore, or the packaging of which bore, a sign identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, Louis Vuitton.

An indicated plea of guilty was heard on May 2 and Amiri was fined £120.

He must also pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £48 and costs of £100.
