A COLCHESTER attraction has been dubbed as one of the most photogenic wild parks and zoos for Instagram snappers.

In the era of social media, Instagram reigns supreme as the ultimate gateway to captivating experiences and breathtaking destinations.

So, on a quest for immersive encounters with nature, wildlife lovers and photography enthusiasts alike have chosen zoos and wildlife parks as the prime hotspots for such adventures.

To uncover the most Instagrammed zoos in the United Kingdom, a team of experts at CasinoBee.com delved into the world of hashtags, analysing the number of Instagram tags associated with zoos, as well as wildlife parks, centres, and sanctuaries across the UK.

And at the top of the list, Colchester Zoo, which held its Stampade 10k race earlier this month, ranked third with 142,033 Instagram tags.

Only Chester Zoo and London Zoo overtook the popular Essex attraction, with more 550,000 Instagram tags combined.

And with 200 different species, many of which are classified as threatened, endangered or critically endangered in the wild, Colchester Zoo is celebrating its 60-anniversary of providing animals with safe space and educating residents on endangered and exotic species.

Zoo's latest addition, a cheetah has made a 900-mile journey, has been transported from Vienna in Austria as a part of a breeding programme.
