A MAN, who was arrested in connection with their investigation into the 2017 disappearance of a Southend woman, has been released.

Due to the re-visited investigation, the Essex Police arrested a man in his 70s on Tuesday, June 13 on suspicion of murder.

The man has now been released with bail conditions.

The arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 64-year-old Patricia Finnie from Southend in May 2017.

Patricia hasn’t been seen or heard from since 11 May 2017, after going to visit a friend in Riveria Drive and her disappearance is being treated as a homicide.

Officers from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are continuing enquiries and this week, have been carrying out search activity at Hockley Woods.

A spokesman from Essex Police said: "We are appealing for anyone who has any information about Patricia’s disappearance to contact us.

"If you have any information about where she is or what has happened to her, you can report it through a special online portal which has been set up on mipp.police.uk/operation/4201020122Q36-PO1.
