A MAN has been left with a potentially life-changing injury after an alleged assault in a busy pub last night.

A man in his 40s was allegedly attacked by another man who threw a chair at him at the Swan Inn in High Road in Horndon on the Hill.

The victim was then punched and taken to hospital, where it was confirmed he has sustained a broken leg.

It is believed the attacker may have driven a Citroen Berlingo van.

It was reported to police the alleged incident happened at about 8.15pm yesterday.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the police.
