Southend Pride will come to the city tomorrow to mark a day of celebrations.

The festival welcomes everyone for a day of fun and relaxation at Warrior Square Gardens, on Saturday July 15, from noon to 8pm.

Southend Pride celebrates and supports the LGBTQ+ community and the festival will be hitting the city of Southend with an amazing day of rainbows and glitter, entertainment, food, drinks, and stalls.

There will be live entertainment on stage with hosts Ruby Violet, Ashley Edwards and Char Cooterie.

From 12.40pm Blackbird will be on stage, followed by Love2sign at 1pm. Leigh Operatic and Dramatic Society will be up from 1.20pm, and then The Show Choir at 1.40pm.

The entertainment will continue courtesy of Little Theatre Company at 2pm and Gable Hall at 2.20pm, The Song School at 2.40pm, and Nate Doucette at 3pm.

At 3.20pm Heidi takes to the stage followed by #Joe at 3.45pm.

Jordan Gray will headline the show at 4.10pm and at 5pm Flick will be entertaining the crowds.

Haus of Vigilante with Estella Safella and Scarlett Vigilante will take to the stage at 5.50pm.

At 6.15pm Kenzie Blackheart followed by Lewis and Amber at 6.40pm.

There will also be a host of community stalls, traders, a children’s entertainment tent, plus food and drink on offer.

Nearby parking can be found at Warrior Square car park, University Square car park and Essex Street surface car park.

South East and Central Essex Mind will be taking part to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ mental health and wellbeing and the local mental health services available.

Southend Pride returned to the city last year after two years of cancellations due to the Covid pandemic.

The iconic rainbow colours of Pride filled the streets of Southend during the annual parade after organisers secured last-minute funding.
