A yellow weather warning for heavy showers and thunderstorms has been issued across Essex.

Experts at the Met Office have warned residents across the county the heavy rain and thunderstorms may lead to some flooding and travel disruption while the warning is in place, from 11am to 10pm.

There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by the rain, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
