THE talent agent of the “much-loved” Southend Game of Thrones actor Darren Kent has released a statement following his sudden death.
Westcliff’s acclaimed actor, who also starred in BBC’s EastEnders, died last Friday (August 11) at the age of 36.
It is unknown as to what his cause of death is, but Darren battled and overcame osteoporosis, arthritis and an extremely rare skin disorder throughout his life.
Carey Dodd Associates, who are based in London, managed the performer and took to X, formerly Twitter, to pay tribute.
The post said: “It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday. His parents and best friend by his side.
“Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time.
“RIP my friend.”

Aside from being on the big screen, he devoted his time supporting disabled, non-disabled and disadvantaged people to enjoy the power of performing arts as patron of Equal People Performing Arts.
He was assigned the role by the founder of Mushroom Theatre Company Penni Bubb in 2018.
The star was a pupil at Bromfords School, in Wickford, before his family moved to Victoria Road, in Leigh.
