A popular fireworks display is coming back to Shoebury this year after a four-year absence.
Tickets have gone on sale for the huge Big Beach Bang fireworks spectacular at East Beach as the event is returning after being shelved throughout the Covid pandemic. It last lit up the skies in 2018.
Now organisers Southend Round Table have officially announced the return of the display on Saturday, November 4, as the charity have released tickets.
The Round Table had hoped to organise the spectacular event for last year but cancelled it citing “logistical challenges, market supply issues and manpower complications”.

A statement on the event website says: "Enjoy a spectacular fireworks display whilst bringing not only your family together but the whole community together. Thousands came along to our last display and we hope that thousands will come along this year.
"You can help us reclaim that community feeling by being part of an evening that really gives back to your local area. Our last display raised in excess of £10,000 for local charities - thank you for supporting this community event!
"Unlike many big national charities 100 per cent of the proceeds from the Big Beach Bang go to local charities; this is because the whole event depends solely on the hard work of volunteers. Every single penny goes back into your community. In the past we have helped Havens Hospices, Essex Air Ambulance, Southend Blind Welfare Organisation, Harp and many more.
"Our volunteers work tirelessly for over 10 months planning and organising to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the night."
Past events have featured a fairground, food and drink and a display set to lively music with a DJ. All proceeds from the event go to charity.
