An arson in a country park, a high risk concern and a gang of youngsters threatening people were all dealt with by Canvey's policing team yesterday.

The island's policing team have shared insight on the reports they attended on Monday (October 2), alongside conducting patrols of Canvey, Benfleet and Hadleigh, as they encourage residents to report incidents.

An elderly female was found by officers after a "high risk concern", a report of aggressive housemates and a "call on" for a missing person from Cheshire were all attended as well as four domestic incidents.

Police also responded to a reported arson in Canvey Heights Country Park, a popular park with sweeping views of the estuary.

A large disturbance involving a group of youths threatening people as well as a disturbance on Canvey seafront involving a drunk male were also dealt with.

Officers assisted Southend police in pursuit of a stolen vehicle, which was stopped with no injuries.

During their patrols, 42 incidents were reported, 13 attended, and six awaiting attendance.
