A MAN has died following a crash in an Essex village.

Essex Police officers were called shortly before 3pm on Saturday, October 7, to reports of a serious crash in Dedham Road, Ardleigh, Colchester.

All emergency services attended the incident which involved a motorcycle and a car.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the motorcyclist, a man 60s, sadly, died at the scene.

The road was closed whilst we carried out investigative enquiries and both vehicles were recovered.

An investigation is now being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

Detectives investigating the crash are now appealing for information.
