A HEARTLESS individual has threatened a Rayleigh man at knifepoint to steal a motorcycle, which has sparked a police probe.

Essex Police was called to the scene in Grove Road on Wednesday, following reports a man was robbed by a suspect with a knife.

The suspect took the victim’s motorcycle, a black and green pit bike, before leaving the scene, and now an appeal has been launched for any information to help with the investigation.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are appealing for any information, doorbell or dashcam footage that will support our investigation into a robbery in Rayleigh.

“Officers were called to the scene in Grove Road on Wednesday 25 October following reports a man was robbed by a suspect with a knife.

“The suspect took the victim’s motorcycle, a black and green pit bike, before leaving the scene.

“Now, officers are asking for any support from the public to help their enquiries, including dashcam and doorbell footage from Grove Road and the surrounding streets.
