White Hart and 12 other south Essex food hygiene ratings

The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.

Here are the establishments in south Essex that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:

Southend:

The Hatch at 66 High Street, Leigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 10.

Westcliff High School For Boys - Sixth Form Centre at Westcliff High School For Boys, Kenilworth Gardens, Westcliff was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 9.

Crooked Billet at The Crooked Billet, 51 High Street, Leigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 10.

Asian Station at 10 Earls Hall Parade, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 13.

Golden Dragon at 299 Eastwood Road North, Leigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 12.

Castle Point:

Jimmy Mac's Bar & Grill at Jimmy Macs, Eastern Esplanade, Canvey was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 19.

Munchies Cafe at 57 Shannon Square, Canvey was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 17.

The Village Eatery at 65 Hart Road, Thundersley, Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 5.

Canvey Island Rugby Union FC at Canvey Island Rugby Club, Dovervelt Road, Canvey was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 19.

White Hart Public House at White Hart, Hart Road, Thundersley, Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 17.

Cosmos at 5 Roseberry Walk, Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating on October 18.

Domino's Pizza at 128 London Road, South Benfleet, Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 12.
