MORE than a dozen road closures in south Essex are set to delay drivers, National Highways reveals.

This week, there will be 15 road closures on the network, and nine are expected to cause delays of between ten and 30 minutes.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M25, from 5am September 29, 2023, to 5am June 29, 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 28 to junction 27, lane and slip road closure for construction of new slip road, diversion via National Highways roads.

A further 14 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A1089, from 10pm October 30 to 6am November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1089 northbound and southbound, St Andrews Road to Asda Roundabout, Lane closure with traffic signals for joint inspections.

• A282, from 10pm October 30 to 5am November 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 31 to junction 1A, Lane closures for inspections.

• A13, from 10pm November 1 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 eastbound, junction Wennington to M25, junction 30, Lane and slip road closure, diversion via Local Authority roads.

• A13, from 10pm November 1 to 5am November 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 eastbound, junction Stifford, slip road and lane closure for cyclical maintenance, diversion via National highways and Local authorities.

• A1089, from 10pm November 2 to 5am November 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 eastbound, A1012 to Orsett Cock, link road and lane closure for cyclical maintenance, diversions via National highways network and Local authorities.

• A1089, from 11pm November 3 to 5am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1089 northbound to A13 southbound, Stifford, Lane and entry slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via local authority network.

• A1023, from 10pm November 6 to 6am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 28 to junction 29, carriageway and entry slip road closure for resurfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

• A13, from 10pm November 6 to 5am November 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 westbound, junction A1012 to junction A126, Lane closures and exit and entry slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via local authority roads.

• M25, from 10pm November 6 to 5.30am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 30 to junction 29, Lanes closure for resurfacing works.

• A13, from 10pm November 7 to 5am November 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 southbound, junction A1012 to junction MarDyke, Lane, entry and exit slip road closures for maintenance works, diversion via local authority network.

• A13, from 10pm November 8 to 5am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A13 eastbound, junction Mardyke to junction Wennington, Lane closures, entry and exit slip road closure for Cyclical maintenance works, diversion via Local Authorities.

• A12, from 10pm November 8 to 5.30am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 27 to junction 28, Lane closure for barrier works.

• A1089, from 10pm November 9 to 5am November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1089 northbound, junction Asda roundabout to junction A13, Lane closure for electrical works.

• A1089, from 10pm November 9 to 5am November 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A13 southbound, junction A1089 to junction Asda roundabout, Lane closure for electrical works.
