Indian handicrafts, artisanal products, and mouth-watering food, were all on display at a Indian festival for Diwali at The Ironworks in Southend.
The Diwali Festival was organised by an Indian community group in Southend to showcase the businesses in the area.
The the vibrant marketplace celebrated the Indian culture.

Vidya, the organiser of the event and Southend resident, said: "Diwali is a celebration of light, joy, and community. It was heartening to see people from all walks of life come together to share in the richness of Indian culture. The overwhelming support from the Southend community made this event truly special."

The Bollywood dance workshop, led by the talented Kriti Sachdeva, took centre stage and became a highlight for attendees of all ages. Laughter and joy echoed through the venue as the community danced to the rhythm of Bollywood beats.

Among the delighted attendees were 28-year-old Southend resident Sarina Siddiqui. She said: "The Diwali Festival was an absolute delight! I had a great time exploring the stalls and purchased beautiful flowers and yummy biryani.
"The Bollywood dancing was a highlight; it brought so much energy and joy to the event. I'm already looking forward to next year's celebration!"

The organisers have announced that the Diwali Festival will return next year.
