POLICE are investigating a robbery in Southend where a woman was assaulted.
The victim, a woman in her 50s, was sitting outside Greggs on the High Street at around 11.10pm on Saturday, November 11, when she was approached by another woman.
She was assaulted and knocked unconscious before having her purse stolen, police said.
The suspect is described as a white, 5ft 7ins tall, in her late 30s, with brown hair in a bun, and was wearing a purple jacket with black squares on the shoulder, and black trousers.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
"Please quote the crime reference number 42/201916/23.
