Police have confirmed that a teenager who was seriously injured following a fatal collision in Stock last week remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Officers were called to Stock Road in Stock at around 8:20am on Friday, 3 November following reports of a car colliding with two children.
Sadly, Freddie Coleman, 15 died at the scene.
His family have since paid tribute to Freddie who was “loved by everybody who knew him.”
The two children are students at Mayflower High School in Billericay, around one-and-a-half miles away from the scene of the crash.
The families of both children are receiving support from specialist officers.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
He has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
