Calling all budding young artists, the Southend Portrait Artist Junior is coming to the city!
The competition will take place over one weekend on November 25 and 26 at Twenty One Southend.
There will be one hour slots available throughout the day for each age bracket.
Each hour will feature a different clothes life model and it aims to give young artists the opportunity to experience life drawing under the guidance of professional artists.
It is open to anyone under the age of 18. A certificate of participation will be rewarded to each artist and for best in show for the 16-18 category and they'll be given an automatic entry to the 2024 Portrait Artist Competition.
Sign up cost is £10 and unless the junior artists specify, and the team will provide paint, pencils, paper, easels and boards. Registrations close on 22nd of November.
