A MAN has been arrested after concerns over a spate of shed burglaries on Canvey.
It was reported two sheds have been broken into, in Linden Way, Canvey, in the early hours on Tuesday, November 7.
Items, including a toolbox, was taken from inside.
After a thorough investigation, including reviewing CCTV and gathering intelligence, Essex Police have today made an arrest in connection with the incidents.
A 21-year-old man, from Canvey, remains in custody for questioning on suspicion of burglary.
Chief Insp Paul Hogben, district commander in Castle Point and Rochford, said: “We know there has been a level of concern over a recent series of burglaries of sheds in the Canvey area.
“These matters are an absolute priority for my team, as we know the impact of theft and burglary is far-reaching and often devastating.
“Our investigation has progressed quickly as we look to build up a picture of where we are seeing issues arise, and to stop those responsible.
“We are continuing our enquiries and I would ask anyone with any concerns or information to get in touch with us. We rely on our good links with the community in Canvey to ensure we keep momentum in tackling the issues which matter to residents most.”
