A former detective constable has been found to have exhibited concerning and abusive behaviour towards a former partner.

Former DC Lewis Marshall was subject to a misconduct hearing which concluded on Wednesday, where it was found that Mr Marshall had breached conduct standards and would have been sacked without notice if he was still on the force.

Deputy chief constable, Andrew Prophet said: “We expect the highest of standards of all our officers and staff.

“In this instance, former DC Lewis Marshall’s behaviour fell far below standard I and the public rightly expect.

“We have provided support to those affected by his utterly unacceptable behaviour,” Mr Prophet said.
