Police are appealing for information to locate a missing teenager who is believed to be in the south Essex area - about 45 miles from his home in London.

Officers have issued an appeal for any information to help them make sure Aurel Mazrreku is "safe and well".

Aurel went missing from the Wood Green area of London in August, and Essex Police officers believe he could now be in south Essex.

He has connections to Hadleigh, Canvey and Southend, and could now be in these areas.

The 17-year-old is 5ft 7in, slim, with brown eyes, short dark hair, and short stubble on his face.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "Please contact us on 101 if you have any information that will help us locate Aurel.

"You can let us know by submitting a report on our website or by using our online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am-9pm.
