Police have set up a large cordon after emergency services descended on a Southend city centre road.
The cordon was put in place in Chichester Road before 4pm today with two police cars in the road and a number of officers in the street.
This was after four ambulance vehicles and a police car were seen responding to a reported incident near the former De Italian Sausage restaurant.

The cordon appears to be in place from the junction with Southchurch Road to the former Shrimp Shack restaurant.
Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.
Traffic is building in Chichester Road, Southchurch Road and other surrounding city centre roads while the cordon is in place.
