A SOUTH Essex bride-to-be has struck lucky after winning a £30,000 dream wedding weeks after getting engaged to the love of her life.

Daniela Patru, 27, who is originally from Romania, can now tie the knot to her partner Razvan in style after winning the prize by online competition firm BOTB.

Now, their hopes of getting married in Romania could become a reality.

It comes as she got engaged in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris a few weeks ago, and then received a video call from presenter Christian Williams who surprised her with the good news.

Daniela, of Tilbury, who entered the competition for the first time, said: ““I was obviously thrilled when he called me.

“It came as a total shock.

“It has come at the perfect time as we only got engaged a few weeks ago.

“My partner took me to Paris to celebrate my birthday and ended up proposing to me.

“We had talked about getting engaged at some point, but I was still not expecting it.

“I would love a traditional Romanian wedding.

“Nothing is booked yet, but we are looking at next summer or the summer of 2025.

“I’ve never entered before but thought I would play for the wedding and enter the dream car competition to win a car for my partner.

“I’ll have to keep playing to try and win the car now.”

BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize. Winners have bagged Rolex watches, holidays and motorbikes in recent months.

Christian said:” A massive congratulations to both Daniela and Razvan on their engagement and winning this amazing prize.

“I’m sure they will enjoy planning their big day a lot more now.

“I look forward to seeing some of the photos of their special day when they decide to tie the knot.”

BOTB was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away a whopping £64m-worth of cars so far.
