SOUTHEND Council has released the revised recycling and waste collection dates over the Christmas and New Year period.
Collection dates will temporarily change over the festive period in Southend and here are the details.
Recycling and waste collection will be a day later than usual.
So, usual collection day on Tuesday, December 26 becomes Wednesday, December 27. Usual collection on Wednesday, December 27 becomes Thursday, December 28. Usual collection on Thursday, December 28 becomes Friday, December 29. Usual collection on Friday, December 29 becomes Saturday, December 30.
Normal kerbside collection service will resume on January 2.
Communal bin collection service will take place a day later than usual between December 27 and January 6.
Normal communal collection service will resume week commencing January 8.
A spokesman for Southend Council added: “Remember to place your recycling and waste out on the morning of your collection and by 7am.
“Collections continue until 6pm so there is no need to report a missed collection before then.
“All the Veolia UK crews wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank you for recycling.”
