South Essex could face "flooding and travel disruption" during the evening rush hour today as a serious weather warning has been issued.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain across Essex from 12pm today until 3am tomorrow, with residents warned of potential flooding in roads and properties, power cuts and travel delays.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead if looking to travel during heavy downpours and prepare for reduced visibility and slippery conditions on roads.

3pm - 40 per cent chance of light shower
4pm - 90 per cent chance of heavy rain

9pm - 50 per cent chance of light rain
10pm - 70 per cent chance of heavy rain
11pm until midnight - 80 per cent chance of heavy rain
1am until 3am - 50 per cent chance of light rain
