PLANS for a Westcliff restaurant to provide late night entertainment and drinks have been revealed following the submission of a new licencing application.

Bosses of London Road’s African Taste, which aims to transport people’s taste buds to the heart of the continent, have confirmed their ambitious proposal.

This is to provide recorded and live music between 11pm and 3am, as well as the sale of alcohol on and off the premises from 11am to 3am.

Representation must be received by January 17.

Here are two other latest licencing applications that have been submitted to Southend Council:

  • New virtual golf bar Bunker 19, in the basement, Alexandra Street, wishes to sell and supply alcohol on the premises daily between 11am and 11pm.

Also, it hopes to have recorded music on the premises daily from 8am to 11pm, as well as indoor sporting events from 7am to 11pm.

Representation must be received by January 25.

  • Another virtual golf firm Golf Dot One Limited, based in The Broadway, Thorpe Bay, has applied for the sale and supply of alcohol on the premises daily between 8am and 10pm.

It has been noted that alcohol and other drinks can only be purchased by customers using the simulator facilities.

Representation was needed by January 3.
