A JAPANESE restaurant has donated meals to a Southend charity that supports vulnerable people in the community.
Wagamama made meals for the St Vincent’s Centre Southend volunteers on Monday.
The charity, which is based in unit nine of the Victoria Business Park, Short Street, provides meals and support for the homeless, rough sleepers and any vulnerable people within the community.
In a Facebook post by St Vincent’s Centre Southend, it said: “Wagamama is brightening up blue Monday by spreading warmth to the amazing volunteers at St Vincent's Centre, in Southend.
“They've generously provided delicious meals to our dedicated volunteers, adding a dash of joy to beat the mid-January slump.
“Let's celebrate acts of kindness that make a difference in our community.”
Between October 2022 and October 2023, 18,983 hot meals were provided from the Kindness Kitchens at St Vincent’s.
