Plans have been unveiled to replace a former short break service for children with new flats and houses, alongside four new public notices.

Flint Property Management has submitted plans to demolish the former Hamelin House building at 7 Stock Road, in Billericay, and redevelop the site into 24 new homes.

The site previously provided overnight and day care breaks for up to six children or young people.

This includes building a new four-storey block of 20 flats, and four new three-bed houses. New parking spaces and communal amenity areas would also be created.

The plans are open to feedback until February 4. Any representations should be made in writing to Basildon Council planning services in St Martin's Square.

A bid has also been submitted to Rochford Council to build three new homes on land behind 3 to 5 Tudor Mews in Eastwood.

The Trustees Of The Bridge Family Trust are applying for outline planning permission, with all matters reserved.

Anyone who wants to make representations to the council relating to the plans should make them by February 2 to the council offices in South Street, Rochford.
