The M25 QEII bridge on the Dartford Crossing has been closed this morning due to high winds.

Highways England has said all traffic travelling southbound is being diverted via the east bore tunnel.

Severe delays of 60 minutes are being reported in the M25 clockwise approaching the Dartford Crossing.

Crews are currently on the bridge making safety checks with a view to reopen the bridge but the bridge currently remains closed.

Eastbound traffic is being confined to using the west bore Dartford tunnel only with a height restriction of 4'8m, vehicles above this height are advised to find an alternative route via the clockwise M25.
