A major south Essex road has now been closed after reports of a crash with long delays in both directions.
Drivers are facing delays from Rayleigh into Thundersley this afternoon rush hour as the A129 Rayleigh Road has been closed after a crash.
The major road is now shut at the Daws Heath mini roundabout due to the incident, near the car showroom, according to Essex County Council traffic control and AA traffic updates.
There are long delays in both directions and around Thundersley and North Benfleet.
Traffic is slow from Down Hall Road in Rayleigh to Beresford Gardens in Hadleigh.
