Holidaymakers now have nine destinations to choose from at Southend Airport this summer thanks to a new exciting announcement.

UK tour operator Mann Link Travel has partnered with Southend Airport to offer flights to Sønderborg in Denmark this summer.

The one-off flight, departing on August 8, offers a four-night short break holiday with a number of hotels with airport transfers included, and prices starting at £745 per person.

This comes just weeks after the recent announcement by Italian airline Aeroitalia, which will begin six-weekly flights from Milan Bergamo in March.

After these recent announcements, sunseekers can now jet to nine holiday spots from Southend Airport this summer.

While the flights to Denmark are a one-off, Brian Kelly, Mann Link Travel founder and chairman, has revealed if they are successful, it could lead to more departures being made available over the summer.

Budget airline easyJet is operating flights to six destinations over the summer season from Southend, including Alicante, Amsterdam, Paris, Malaga, Faro and Palma de Mallorca.

Balkan Holidays will also be launching new flights this summer to the stunning coastal city of Bourgas.

With plenty of history, restorative mud baths, sporting opportunities and gorgeous beaches, the tour operator promises Bourgas has “something to suit everyone”.

By the time summer rolls around, there may be even more on offer at the transport hub, as business development director Nigel Mayes recently revealed that Southend Airport bosses rare confident the new partnership with Aeroitalia will lead to “further routes to Italian destinations”.
