Dogs Trust's Basildon's rehoming centre has shared five adorable pups in need of a forever home, including a French bulldog, a mastiff, and a staffy.

Odie, a French Bulldog Cross

Echo:

Handsome Odie is a typical, sweet Frenchie who fans of the breed will adore. He can be super playful at times but he can also be super lazy. He's quite the couch potato!

He loves a cuddle, especially in a calm, homely environment where he can settle and relax. Like most Frenchies, he's a super foodie and will do anything for a treat - which means training is a breeze and he's always keen to learn new tricks.

When Odie spent time in a foster home, he was the perfect house guest. He was found to be house-trained, cuddly, and could be left short for periods. He did need a ramp to get into the car, but he travels really well and enjoys going for trips as he loves to explore.

All in all, Odie is a lovely lad who will be such a fun friend to have around. While he does need someone who will understand and respect his boundaries, he is super affectionate and will pay his new family back with lots of love and laughs. He just needs someone patient to give him a chance to be the best boy he can be.

Alfie, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Echo:

Alfie is a sweet boy. He is believed to be a Staffy-Jack-Russell cross.

He is approximately seven years old. Alfie loves his toys, so playing would be a great way to make friends with him. Alfie would really like to live in a quiet location with not too much footfall and traffic as he can be reactive. Once he builds his confidence and forges a bond, he loves to be around his family, having a fuss. His favourite activity at the moment is playing fetch.

Alfie does find car journeys stressful and is known to bark.

Bailey Boo, a Mastiff

Echo:

Bailey Boo is a sweet but timid girl who is looking for an adult-only home with a maximum of two people. They should have experience with large but nervous breeds, and have the time and patience to help Bailey Boo build her confidence.

She is worried about meeting new people and environments. But she is a snuggle bug once she gets to know you and builds a bond.

Bailey Boo is looking for owners who have a good understanding of large breeds. She walks nicely on lead. Bailey Boo must be the only dog in the home but can have calm walking buddies. She prefers to be with smaller dogs.

Snoopy, a Lurcher cross

Echo:

Super Snoopy is a two-year-old Sharpei-Lurcher cross who was returned to the centre to due his dog reactivity. He can be a bit restless in the car, but is housetrained. However, the odd accident is to be expected in his new home.

His leaving hours will need to be built up slowly over time as he can become vocal and distressed when left alone. He loves his treats and takes them nicely but care must be given around super high-value food. Snoopy is super playful and loves to chase toys. He is patiently waiting for his fur-ever home.

Dotty, a Lurcher

Echo:

Dotty is a beautiful ten-year-old lurcher, seeking a sofa to call her own. This lovely girl came into the centre as a stray so her background history is limited.

She can be left alone for up to four hours once settled in her new home. She doesn't need hours of exercise but has displayed reactivity towards other dogs. A low-populated dog area would be ideal as it would help ease her stress levels.

Being a lurcher, she loves fluffy toys and likes to chase them and carry them around. She can be a bit shy on first meeting new people but soon gains confidence and loves a cuddle. Dotty loves her food and treats, which will be a good tool to build a bond with her.#
