A gentleman’s club has applied to renew its sex entertainment licence, among three of this week’s key licencing applications in Southend.

1. Red Lounge, The Stables, Lucy Road, Southend

Application to renew the existing Sexual Entertainment Licence to provide licensable activities:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 12pm to 2.30am
  • Friday and Saturday: 12pm to 4am.

This is the same as the existing licence.

2. Southend Drink and Sweet Ltd, 11 Southchurch Road, Southend

Application for a new premises licence - sale of alcohol off the premises:

  • Sunday to Thursday, 8am to 11pm
  • Friday and Saturday, 8am to 2am

3. The Med, 285 - 291 Eastwood Road North, Leigh

Application for a new premises licence.

Licensable Activities:

Sale and supply of alcohol both on and off the premises:

  • Sunday to Thursday, 11am to 11pm.
  • Friday and Saturday, 11am to 1pm.

Live and recorded music: Friday and Saturday, 11pm to 1am

Provision of late-night refreshment:

  • Sunday to Thursday, 11pm to 11.30pm
  • Friday and Saturday, 11pm to 1.30am
