Drivers are facing delays on two major south Essex roads this afternoon as a manhole cover is missing.
The manhole cover is missing on the onslip to the A127 at the junction with the A128 in West Horndon, towards Basildon, according to Essex County Council's traffic control.
A lane closure is also in place through the junction on the A127.

As a result, traffic is queueing at the Halfway House roundabout on both the A127 and the A128.
AA reports that delays are increasing between Childerditch Lane and West Mayne, Dunton junction, with an average speed of ten mph.
