NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 Basildon establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.

Here are the establishments in the Basildon borough that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:

Basildon:

Fords V-Building Restaurant at Ford Research And Engineering Centre, West Mayne, Dunton, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 31.

Nando's at Unit 10 Mayflower Retail Park, Gardiners Link, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 22.

Cafe on the Common Thursdays 12 - 2pm at Church Of St John The Divine, Outwood Common Road, Billericay was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 18.

Niffers cafe at Selco Builders Warehouse, Crompton Close, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 18.

Pizza Hut Restauant at Festival Leisure Park, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 18.

Starbucks at Unit 4 St Hilary Retail Park, Miles Gray Road, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 18.

Baxterstorey Catering Services at I F D S House, St Nicholas Lane, Laindon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 12.

The Eyna Basildon at Longman Motors, East Mayne, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 12.

Shepherd & Dog at Shepherd And Dog Inn, Crays Hill, Billericay was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 18.
