Commuters on c2c have been warned of cancellations and delays this morning, following reports of "attempted cable theft" on a major route.
All services to Rainham have been cancelled this morning, due to the "attempted theft of signalling cables between Barking Riverside and Barking", according to c2c.
Disruption is expected until 9am.
Services that have cancelled by the disruption are the:
- 07:32 London Fenchurch Street to Pitsea due 08:27
- 07:35 Pitsea to London Fenchurch Street due 08:33
- 07:37 London Fenchurch Street to Grays due 08:10
- 07:50 London Fenchurch Street to Southend Central due 08:42
- 07:51 Pitsea to London Fenchurch Street due 08:48
- 08:18 Pitsea to London Fenchurch Street due 09:15
c2c has advised that the TfL bus 287 between Rainham & Barking via Upney (LUL), TfL bus EL2 between Dagenham Dock & Barking and TfL bus 103 between Rainham and Dagenham East (LUL) are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.
Rail Replacement Bus Services are conveying passengers between Grays and Upminster via Rainham and Purfleet in both directions until further notice.
c2c have apologised for disruption and said that customers whose journey is delayed more than 15 minutes can claim compensation through the Delay Repay Scheme: https://t.co/YIMVrnoaf3
