THREE people have been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in a serious assault in Harlow.

Officers were called to Fold Croft in Harlow at about 8pm on January 24 to reports of a man who was being treated by ambulance workers.

The force said he had suffered stab wounds before being taken to hospital in a serious condition and then making a recovery.

Following work by the police's dedicated investigative team, officers arrested three people on February 14.

Daniar Hamad, 20, of no fixed address, Reden Rasoulzadeh, 18, of Juniper Road, Harlow, and Ari Abasi, 19, of Kingston Road, London have now been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

All three were due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday, February 15.

Detective Superintendent Dan Morrissey said: “We have conducted lengthy enquiries and frequently engaged with the community in Harlow following this incident.

“In the aftermath, we were quickly able to determine there was no ongoing threat to the wider public.

“But I am all too aware of the understandable concern shared by residents following this serious assault.

“This concern was matched by our continued determination to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident, resulting in several arrests and now charges against three people.”
