Shoebury mum wins £15k competition prize from BOTB

Bryony Dell, from Shoebury, has won a competition prize including £10,000 cash prize and a £5,395 Spitfire experience with online competition specialists BOTB.

The 27-year-old says she will use the money to help buy a house, and a holiday to Spain.

Bryony also says she will now be able to fulfil her father's dream as she gifts him the once-in-a-lifetime Spitfire experience. 

She said: "I am obviously delighted to have won, although I still can't believe it.

“I am just so pleased I will be able to make one of my father’s dreams come true.

“He loves history and aircraft, and always watches when Spitfires fly over. I am sure he will love it, but I don’t think he can quite believe it at the moment.

“I have also recently been made redundant, so the timing of this is brilliant. I currently rent and would eventually like to put some money down on buying a new house.

“A little getaway to somewhere like Spain would also be nice.”

Bryony, who lives in Shoebury, had just dropped her five-year-old daughter off at school when BOTB presenter Christian Williams video called her to surprise her with the amazing news.

She added: “I have never won anything before and only been playing with BOTB for a couple of months, so it might take some time to sink in."

The Spitfire experience involves flying in the legendary Mk IX Spitfire NH341 warbird of Grizzly Bear Squadron over the Kentish Downs towards Dover and those famous white chalk cliffs that stand proud 500ft above the English Channel.

Christian Williams, BOTB presenter, said: “A big congratulations to Bryony for winning this fantastic prize and what a lovely gesture to enter the competition to fulfil her father’s dream. It probably won’t sink in until he’s strapped into the aircraft.

“We have had a few people win this prize and they have just had the best day ever.
