A PERSON has been freed from a vehicle by the fire service after a crash on the A127 as two people are taken to hospital.
At around 7:30am this morning, there was a three-car crash on the A127 Southend Arterial Road, which left a car on its roof.
This was Westbound between A132 East Mayne (Nevendon) and A127 (Billericay / Noak Bridge Turn Off).
Essex Fire has confirmed they rescued one person who was trapped in their vehicle.
Two people have also been taken to hospital for further care.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on the A127 London Bound at Noak Bridge at 7:37am.
“On arrival, crews reported three vehicles had collided and one car was on its roof.
“One person was trapped inside their vehicle and crews worked to rescue them by 8:20am. The person was left in the care of the Ambulance Service.”
The East of England Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 7.36am with reports of a collision on Southend Arterial Road (A127).
"We sent two ambulances and took two people to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further care."
