NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven Southend establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in the borough of Southend that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
Southend:
San Fairie Ann at 43 Alexandra Street, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 14.
McDonald's at Mcdonalds, 72 - 74 High Street, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 28.
McDonalds at Airport Retail Park, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 28.
Alex Public House at The Alexandra, 53 Alexandra Street, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 26.
Cafe Avon at 7 Avon Way, Shoebury was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 12.
Perfect Fried Chicken, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 525 - 527 London Road, Westcliff was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 6.
Ying's Takeaway, a takeaway at Ying'S, 215 London Road, Westcliff was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 5
