A SECTION of the A127/Southend Arterial Road is set to be closed overnight all week, as roadworks are carried out.
The night-time closure will affect drivers heading towards Southend on the A127. It stretches from beyond the Rayleigh Weir roundabout to near the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eastwood.
Running for just over two miles, the section is set to be shut overnight from 9pm to 5am, while Essex Highways carries out maintenance works.
The Rayleigh Weir slip road from the A129 to the A127 Southend-bound is also closed.
A diversion route is in place along the A129, joining Rayleigh Road/A1015 to get back onto the A127.
Essex Highways expects the ongoing closure to remain in place until Saturday.
