THE family of a woman who died after being found unconscious at her Basildon home have paid tribute to her as a loving mum-of-four as a police investigation continues.

Police received notification of a woman who had been admitted to a London hospital in a life-threatening condition on Sunday, after she was found unconscious at an address in Elsenham Crescent, Basildon.

Sadly, 39-year-old Charlotte Randall died on Thursday. Police launched a murder investigation on Friday.

In a statement her family said: “Our beloved, kind-hearted and caring Charlotte leaves an irreplaceable hole in our lives.

"She was the most incredible mother to her four beautiful children and lit up the lives of everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.

"We will forever feel her absence."

Detectives have charged a man with making threats to kill and controlling or coercive behaviour.

Joshua Robinson, 32, of no fixed abode, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today, and has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Basildon Crown Court on April 15.
