DRIVERS are facing delays in a major south Essex road this afternoon after a crash and ongoing traffic problems.
Police were reportedly on the scene of a crash on Rayleigh Road near The Woodmans Arms pub in Thundersley earlier this afternoon, with the incident only clearing at about 1.30pm.
This caused delays in the road with ongoing Easter Bank Holiday traffic in the area today.
While traffic is clear in Thundersley, drivers are still queueing on the A129 in Rayleigh, with delays Southend-bound at the Rayleigh Weir junction.
Emergency services have been contacted for comment regarding the earlier crash.
