Police arrested the male that evening and photos taken by officers, posted at 11.25pm on Saturday, show the silver car's almost-entirely destroyed front.

The incident started on New Road in Rainham, continued to Ferry Lane and ended up on the A13 eastbound at the slip road exit for Wennington, the area's police team said.
